Government Identity & Verification DocumentsUnder local statutory regulations, municipal rules, and Telangana state police safety directives for paying guest accommodations, residents must furnish a valid government-issued ID (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, or College/Corporate ID) prior to room check-in. These records are collected solely for authentic resident roster verification and are encrypted at rest.

C. Transaction & Payment DataWhen you make an advance token deposit or monthly room fee payment via our platform, financial transactions are processed securely through our licensed payment partner, Cashfree Payments (Cashfree Payments India Private Limited). Stay Hostel does not store complete credit/debit card numbers or net banking passwords/CVVs on our servers. We only receive tokenized reference IDs, payment success statuses, and transaction amounts.

D. Technical & Usage LogsInternet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, device identifiers, and session timestamps used solely for fraud detection, session stability, and performance auditing.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is processed strictly for legitimate operational purposes:

Facilitating seamless bed bookings, room reservations, and check-in appointments with verified hostel operators.
Generating cryptographically verifiable Digital Stay Passes for biometric and gate security admission.
Processing token booking payments and executing eligible refund reversals via Cashfree Payments.
Sending booking confirmations, visit schedule reminders, and invoice receipts via SMS, WhatsApp, and email.
Providing 24/7 resident maintenance support, grievance redressal, and emergency safety assistance.
Complying with statutory reporting requirements under applicable Indian laws and regulatory frameworks.

3. Strict Non-Disclosure & Information Sharing

Our Core Commitment: Stay Hostel does not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.

We only share data with authorized entities in the following strictly controlled scenarios:

Assigned Hostel Management: Sharing your name, contact phone, and room preference with the specific hostel operator you booked with, so they can prepare your room and verify admission.
Payment Gateway Partner (Cashfree Payments): Transmitting required transaction metadata to Cashfree to authenticate payments, prevent unauthorized charges, and disburse refunds.
Legal & Law Enforcement Compliance: When strictly mandated by a valid court order, government directive, or applicable statutory inquiry under the laws of India.

4. Payment Security & Cashfree Gateway Integration

All monetary transactions on stayhostel.online are processed via Cashfree Payments India Private Limited, an RBI-authorized Payment Aggregator complying with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS Level 1).

256-Bit SSL End-to-End Encryption

All data transmitted during checkout is encrypted using TLS 1.3 protocol.

No Sensitive Card Storage

We never store full card PANs, CVVs, or OTP credentials on Stay Hostel servers.

5. Data Retention & User Privacy Rights

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill active bookings, maintain legal accounting compliance, and support statutory resident registries.

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act, 2023), you have the right to request access to your personal information, request corrections of inaccurate records, or seek deletion of your data once all booking and financial liabilities have been resolved.
